BOSTON Scoliosis Night Brace The Boston Scoliosis Night Brace is designed to be worn only at night, during sleep. It is molded to conform to the patient’s body while he/she is bent towards the convexity of the curve, thus ’over-correcting” the curve during the eight hours it is worn. The objective of the Boston Scoliosis Night Brace is to biomechanically correct the scoliosis via stabilizing, lateral shift and unbending forces. Straps and buckles are included.A specific set of patient measurements are required together with the patient x-ray in order to complete the brace design and manufacture. The brace is supplied as a fully finished orthosis (to first fitting stage) and is available in a range of colour options. This brace can only be ordered in white Copolymer. Intended Use: As mentioned in the Introduction, correct patient selection is very important. This product is intended for use only in patients with the following broad criteria: - Smaller Curve Magnitude: 20-35 Cobb Angle - approximately - Skeletally immature (riser 0-3) - Curve apex up to approximately T9 maximum - Patients who may exhibit a strong aversion to “full time” brace wear, to the extent that the possibility to achieve a successful outcome with a full time program is deemed low (due to lack of compliance).
